Self Portait
Self Evaluation
PLANNING/ROUGH DRAFTS/SKETCHES:
I felt I planned reasonably well, not going above and beyond, and I had a few concepts for my final product as shown in the slideshow above. I also sketched on a piece of loose leaf paper one class that more directly led to my final product. I planned at first more of a funky design on the shirt or the skin but decided not to at the end and to keep it minimalist. 4/5
LEVEL OF DEPTH OF IDEA/CONCEPT OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Again, I didn't go above and beyond by any means, and felt I could've done more research than I did to fully understand the history of the art and the meaning of Warhol's portraits. 2/3
COMMUNICATION OF IDEA, CONCEPT OR EMOTION:
I feel like what I may have lacked in understanding, other people didn't, and recognized the concept fairly easily and I was still able to communicate a level of depth on the idea. 4/5
TECHNIQUES, MEDIA EXPLORATIONS AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT:
I felt I demonstrated some proficiency in new skills and more in skills I already had and have been utilizing. I didn't use too many new and I believe that fits the criteria of a 4/5
CRAFTSMANSHIP:
I never feel my work is too sloppy, and this hopefully isn't an exception. Line work was clean I felt, and colouring was solid. 5/5
PERSONAL CHALLANGE:
With this, I didn't really try to challenge myself. I didn't per se, make it easy on myself either, but I didn't go all out to make it difficult. 3/5
EFFORT, USE OF TIME, ORGANIZATION:
I used my time pretty effectively on this, even finishing a little earlier than it was due, for better or for worse. The effort was there too and I constantly made sure I was drawing true to life. 4/5
SELF EVALUATION/WRITE UP:
I hope this was pretty good! 4/5
CRITERIA OVERALL:
I feel I met the criteria fairly and did an alright job on understanding the subject matter at hand. I made sure it was clean and put effort into it throughout. 2.5/3
